Blood Thinner

Blood Thinner is a series of self portraits that examine how a childhood of familial tension can affect the individual. Referencing the effects of a mother's narcissism, mental illness, and alcoholism through personal experience, the photos in this series navigate through trauma and resentment. This works provides a photographic narrative for when the saying "blood is thicker than water" is not necessarily true.
