Goodly Heritage
The Goodly Heritage is a series of photos taken from my hometown, Milledgeville. Milledgeville got it's name from "the mills at the edge of the village". Milledgeville use to be a thriving town, complete with mills, hotels, restaurants, clothing stores, a factory, and other small businesses. Now, most of Milledgeville's businesses have failed or closed, and the historical buildings have been abandoned or renovated. I am moved by these places I have grown up around but had never really known the history about them until I started going to the town library and reading up on the downfall of this town. These photos were shot with a large format 4 x 5 film camera.
